Outstanding award for Mablethorpe payback team

The Community Payback team in Mablethorpe have been recognised for all their hard work with an Outstanding Award of Appreciation at the Mablethorpe in Bloom Civic Pride Awards.

The award follows the town’s success in the Britain In Bloom awards where it picked up a silver gilt award.

Kim Parrinder, from the Big Local CCC Lottery Committee, said: “We at the Big Local CCC Lottery Committee are proud to have been given an opportunity to work in partnership with the Payback Team. A special mention must go to Steve Bingham who is an asset to HLNY CRC. Steve always goes above and beyond whatever I ask of him - Dave is also brilliant when he covers Steve’s annual leave.

“I am extremely proud of Julie Calvert, who after finishing her payback hours has trained and become a volunteer mentor. What a success story Julie is. I look forward to many more projects that we can all work together on in the future.”

Steve Bingham, UPW Supervisor, said: “HLNY CRC was involved in numerous projects around the area and many are mentioned in the awards report including St Mary’s Park and the wild flower garden on Quebec Road. The service users have responded well on this project and many positive comments have been made by the public both directly to them and indirectly through social media on the Big Local CCC Facebook page.”
