Prevent aims to develop and implement effective actions that will make local communities safer. This is achieved by the collaborative action of partners.

Although there is no specific threat to Humberside, Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire it is important that everyone remains alert and aware of their surroundings.

Together we can fight terrorism and make our communities safer. The key aim of the Prevent strategy is to help local Humberside, Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire authorities, the police, community safety partnerships and other partners to develop and implement effective actions that will make their communities safer.

This will reduce the risk from terrorism and violent extremism so that the people of Humberside, Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire can go about their business freely and with confidence.
