Integrated Offender Management (IOM) involves the joint management of people who are considered as being highly likely to re-offend. This is judged by assessing them and their criminal history.
IOM is a multi-agency project that involves probation as the lead organisation in a team including staff from police, youth offending services and local authorities. The agencies work together to:
- provide intensive supervision for offenders who pose the most risk
- share information on a daily basis about individuals under IOM supervision
- co-ordinate resources at a strategic level.
IOM teams are based across Humberside, Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire.
