Equality & Diversity

HLNY CRC Ltd has a proud history of supporting and promoting equality and diversity throughout our organisation and the services we provide. We place equality and diversity at the heart of our operations and have enshrined treating people with dignity and respect as a core value.

Whilst equality of opportunity and encouraging diversity has always been a fundamental guiding principle of the work we do, the CRC also recognises its formal responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010. As an organisation delivering a public service, we are committed to complying with the general duty set out in the act requiring public bodies and others who exercise public functions to:

  • Have due regard to the need to eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation
  • Advance equality of opportunity
  • Foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not
  • This duty applies across all of our functions and also requires us to publish certain information in respect of our actions in this area.

As a Purple Futures CRC we are committed to working with our colleagues to further enhance our organisational activities and service provision offerings to maximise equality of opportunity and encourage diversity.

You can learn more about our commitment to equality and diversity by reading our annual Equality and Diversity Report.
